Posting bail and walking out the door are separate steps. A wait after payment does not necessarily mean something has gone wrong.
The facility still has a process
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says release processing after bail is posted can take up to eight hours. Treat that as published guidance, not a guaranteed release time for an individual case.
Confirm what applies to the case
The Sheriff’s Office lists bail-agent bonds among accepted methods, except for cash-only bail and fines. Confirm the applicable requirements before arranging payment.
Plan the pickup
The facility says it does not provide transportation. Coordinate a ride and stay reachable while waiting for updates.
